Springtime by Julia Loewen

Springtime

by Julia Loewen

Out of nowhere a green stem peaks
The rosy red color flushes from our cheeks
Bird start to chirp and the bees start to sting
A scent fills the air, it smells like Spring
Out with the gray skies, hello to the blue
Sandals and flips flops, no more snowshoes
Green leafs accompany the bare branches of trees
Students realize they are soon-to-be carefree
There's no time like this time
It's easy to say
I wish the Springtime would last forever and a day
