It's Never Taken Me So Long to Read 57 Pages
Poem based on Beowulf by Syera Plitt
It's never, ever taken so long
To read 57 pages
Like honestly I would've never guessed
A small book could take me ages

Reading Beowulf was agonizing,
I would have rather been bumbarded with loud bells
To be honest I was only 12 pages in
When I realized I was losing brain cells

Why did the characters have multiple names,
And I barely know what they mean
Like lords, famous-ones, princes, and thanes
God I feel like that Mr. Krabs meme

Granted, Beowulfs' battles were somewhat cool
Killing monsters is very chilling
But the fact it takes only one page to explain
Is too fast and no longer thrilling

But what really made me hate this book
And made me fall asleep
Is that it takes 10 pages to explain things like "glorious treasures"
Do you seriously have to get this deep?
And lets not forget the wonderful test
That I'm obligated to take tomorrow
Geez, can teachers give us teens a rest
Im already filled with sorrow...

Because Beowulf was horrible, absolutely time consuming
It took me 7 HOURS to read...
Well to be fair I did get destracted
But hey winter clothes is something I need

The epic Beowulf is as bad as this years election
and I pray Hilary has more votes
Well, I know at least one things for sure...
THANK GOD FOR SPARK-NOTES!!!!!
